Booster Club meeting

The Booster Club met last week and had a good meeting.  A lot of great things are going on.  We are getting ready for the end of the year banquet and a number of competitions.  Stay tuned for more information.

All State Band

Congratulations to Ashvin and Cinnie.  They competed at the All State Band competition last week.  Cinnie placed 5th and Ashvin placed 1st.  Way to go!

Just for fun...  I have a prize for the first 3 students to come to me with the correct answer to Monday's SAT Question of the Day. 

Kansas State Presentation

We had a special treat this afternoon.  Tom Roberts, Associate Dean of Engineering at Kansas State University came and talked to the afternoon classes today.  The students had an opportunity to hear about many of the exciting changes in engineering today.  They also got to hear about KSU's program as well as how the STEM Academy is preparing them to take on the challenges that will face our students when they graduate from CHS.

Yearbook Group Photos

Group photos for the yearboook will be Friday, 2/11.  For Engineering groups, we will have the following times:

• 10:00 - JETS
• 10:10 - Robotics (MATE, FRC and FTC)
• 10:20 - STEM - All 9th and 10th grade STEM students
• 10:30 - Solar Car Team

Weather days reorganization

What a crazy week of weather.  It has definitely caused quite a bit of chaos.  We will be sorting things out with administration at the first of the week.  Please check with teachers and schedules on any assignment adjustments.
