The Whitacre College of Engineering and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at Texas Tech University would like to invite you to attend the SWE Region C Regional Conference at the Holiday Inn Park Plaza in Lubbock TX on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 10 am - 5 pm.
The Whitacre College of Engineering will offer a special session at the conference for female high school students. During this session you will learn about engineering careers and engineering majors offered at the Whitacre College of Engineering at Texas Tech. You will also learn about the scholarships , study abroad programs, student organizations, and other special opportunities that Texas Tech has to offer.
You will then have the opportunity to meet current female engineering students from Texas Tech during lunch, listen to the lunch speaker, and meet with representatives from companies that hire engineers during the job-fair that is part of the conference. Talking to company recruiters is an excellent way for you to learn more about career paths open to you after graduating with an engineering degree.
