The STEM Academy and the School of Engineering has three events coming up in August for parents and students. All are free and everyone is encouraged to attend.
The STEM Boot Camp is for ALL 2012 STEM Academy students, new and returning. This free camp will be on Friday, August 10 from 1-4 PM and will conclude Saturday, August 11 from 9-11 AM. There are no prerequisites or experience necessary for participation in the camp. We will be having fun, getting to know everyone and starting our mentoring program. For new students, this is a chance to meet the other students and get to know CHS. For the returning students, it is a chance to meet the new students, get reacquainted with STEM and get started with our new mentoring program.
The STEM Family Picnic is on Saturday, August 11 from 11-1 at CHS. This is open to all2012 STEM academy students and family members. Information and the sign up page can be found at http://www.coppellisd.com/engineering. We invite everyone to attend.
The Engineering Booster Club is having its annual Back-to-School Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, August 21 at 6:30 pm in the commons. All engineering parents/students in Infinity and STEM classes are encouraged to attend. Your help with the booster club helps us offer the variety of programs we have, such as the Engineering Expo every fall.
